A Look at the Team
PEI Ground Search and Rescue Association got its start as two unique, but related, Search and Rescue groups. West Prince Search and Rescue was organized by Cpl Terry Totten (RCMP) in 1995, and Kings County Search and Rescue in 2000 - 2001.
In 2008, both SAR groups agreed to come together to form what is currently recognized as Prince Edward Island Ground Search and Rescue. Since then, PEIGSAR has continued to grow and now has over 65 Operational Members along with 40+ non-operational members.
